JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One person was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after an accident involving a car and a minivan on Old Middleburg Road near Hansen Drive.
A minivan and a sedan were driving northbound on Old Middleburg Road when police said the accident occurred.

According to police, the sedan attempted to make a U-turn while driving down Old Middleburg and turned into the path of the minivan.
Police said the driver of the sedan had to be cut out of the car. The driver of the sedan was transported to Shands, but authorities said that person did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
No one inside the van was injured, according to police.
Police had to close Old Middleburg Road for a short time Wednesday night while they cleaned up the wreck. The road was cleared shortly before 11 p.m.
