JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two people were arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with a meth lab bust on the Westside.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office bomb squad was called to the 4700 block of Herta Road just before 3:30 p.m.
Neighbors said they called police to report the drug house.
Police said meth was cooked in the house as recently as Wednesday.
"The chemicals are fresh, and we're taking every precautionary measure possible to make sure it's safe for everyone," JSO spokeswoman Melissa Bujeda said.
The road was closed for about two hours.
