2 shot, killed in Lake Shore home

Police say shooting suspect is in custody

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man and woman are dead and a 21-year-old man is in custody after a double shooting at a Lake Shore home Tuesday night.

Police and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue were called to the 4500 block of Colonial Avenue just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.  While police say both victims were conscious and crying when officers found them, but both died at the hospital.

The names of those killed has not been released.

While it's not known what led up to the shooting, police say a suspect was under arrest.

"We don't have any reason to believe there's anyone outstanding," Sgt. T.K. Water said at the scene.

Police have not released the name of the person in custody, but Charles Pierre Fritzner was booked into the Duval County Jail early Wednesday morning.  Property records show Fritzner lives at the home.
