2 sought in unrelated Walmart thefts in Fleming Island

FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. – Deputies in Clay County are trying to identify and find a man and a woman sought in two unrelated thefts at a Fleming Island Walmart.

A man was seen in a surveillance photo leaving the store with a cart full of stolen items the morning of Jan. 12. He was seen leaving the area with another man in an older model truck, deputies said.

Investigators said he stole a TV, computer, sound bar and other smaller items.

A woman left the store with stolen items the afternoon of Nov. 29 and then was seen on County Road 220 moments later throwing the theft prevention packaging into a ditch from a silver, four-door truck.

Deputies said she stole two laptops, an Xbox, two desktop computers and two bath towels.

She was described as a white woman in her 30s, with blonde hair, and was wearing a yellow T-shirt and blue jeans.
