JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Police in Jacksonville have arrested two teens in connection with the shooting death of a 29-year-old in December.
Marcus Brown, 18, is charged with murder, robbery and kidnapping in the killing of Andronicus Williams. Williams was found shot to death in the 600 block of East 27th Street in Brentwood on Dec. 26.
Police said they received information that led them to Brown. They said Brown was already in the Duval County jail on an unrelated charge when they questioned him Jan. 31. Investigators said he admitted to his involvement in the killing, and then implicated 19-year-old Eric Hill.
Police said they questioned Hill the next day, and while Hill admitted to being at the scene, he said he was not involved in the crime. Hill is charged with accessory after the fact.
"We still have someone out there we're still looking at," Lt. Rob Schoonover said at a news conference Friday afternoon.
He said the motive for the killing was robbery.
"They had made contact the previous day and basically lured (Williams) to a location," Schoonover said.
Police said the two suspects and a friend got into Williams' truck and started driving, and Brown told police Williams jumped out of the truck, and he heard a single shot.
Hill told police Williams was shot after he got into an argument with a third person in the truck. Police said Hill admitted to disposing of Williams' truck.
