2 women sought in St. Johns County stabbing

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Two women are being sought in St. Johns County in connection with a stabbing Sunday evening, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a home in the 100 block of Herbert Street regarding a civil complaint involving a landlord and tenant dispute. The parties were advised of the legal steps for an eviction.

A short time later, deputies were called back to the home for a disturbance. The residents told them the tenant had left the area in his vehicle.

Moments later, an officer with the St. Augustine Police Department found the man in the 200 block of South Ponce de Leon Boulevard, deputies said.

They said the victim had sustained cuts to his face and was stabbed in the back. He was flown to UF Health Jacksonville.

The victim then notified detectives that the two women who were walking from the home were the suspects.

The women were described as white, one with a slender build, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 140 pounds, with brown hair pulled into a pony tail and wearing a black tank top. The other was heavyset, about 200 pounds with blonde hair and wearing a white dress with black designs.
