JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A reward of up to $4,000 was announced Tuesday afternoon in the Westside neighborhood where 22-year-old Amber Bass was shot and killed 11 days ago.
Bass was killed early the morning of July 19 in her sister's driveway. Bass' killer has not been caught.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest, and $1,000 for the weapon that was used to kill Bass.
Police on Tuesday also released grainy photos of a car they are looking for that went into the neighborhood about 2:25 a.m. -- just before Bass was killed.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office enhanced this surveillance photo showing a car seen driving on Springtree Road about the time Amber Bass was killed.
"We don't know if this car is in direct link, but if someone was dropping someone off in the neighborhood, we ask that you contact us," Lt. Rob Schoonover said. "You may have saw something or give us some information."
Late Friday, police released a sketch (below) of the purse Bass was carrying that night and asking to hear from anyone who may have seen it. It was described as gray with silver studs.
MAD DADS president Donald Foy has called for peace in the community. He also reiterates that a family needs help.
"We miss Amber more than anything. I miss my sister," said her sister, Robin Lezcano. "It was just the two of us and now its just me. I'm the only daughter."
Bass' family is praying someone comes forward. They say they won't be able to move on until someone is in jail.
"Please, I'm making a plea to this community: Anyone that knows anything, whether you saw a car, people cutting through the park across the street, just anything to help these guys," said Keith Bass, the victim father.
Anyone with information about the case or the purse police are looking for are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
Wyllie Hodges with Crime Stoppers stressed that a tipster can remain 100 percent anonymous.
"If this was a member of your family, you would want the same done for yourself, so please please call," Hodges said.
