There were more than 100 floats in the parade and live music, ensuring there was something to see and do for the whole family.

The main attraction, of course, was the pirates. Fully clothed in costumes, the pirates looted and pillaged the streets, entertaining kids of all ages.

The Eight Flags Shrimp Festival attracts over 100,000 people and has been around for more than half a century.
