JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The third major storm this winter is now pushing through the United States.
Snow, sleet and frigid temperatures is causing all kinds of closures and cancellations all across the country.
The federal government has closed offices in Washington Monday where rain, ice and 8 to 12 inches of snow is forecasted.
And the storm is wreaking havoc yet again at airports all along the east coast.
Flightaware.com is reporting about 2,000 flight cancellations Monday. The most impacted airports are in Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York.
People traveling to and from those places and Jacksonville aren't spared.
As of 4 a.m., 19 departures and arrivals have been canceled.
Some flights to and from JIA and Philadelphia, Washington, Baltimore, Nashville, Houston, Newark and New York will not be flying.
Six flights are also delayed to Newark, Detroit Washington and New York.
Congress has also postponed all business Monday and Tuesday in Washington, DC.
School districts from Dallas to Philadelphia have canceled classes Monday as well.
Forecasters say the south won't see much snow, just cooler temperatures.
