Man taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

Police said 10 African-American men were hanging out at the Oakland Terrace apartments on Franklin Street on the Eastside when a disagreement occurred.

Shots were fired and one man in his late 30s or early 40s was struck in the torso.

The shooting victim was transported to U-F Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said when they arrived at the scene no witnesses could be found.
