Arlington Gate station robbed twice in 12 days

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police say the same Gate gas station in Arlington has been robbed twice within the past two weeks and they are asking for the public's help identifying the robbers.

The first robbery of the station at the corner of Merrill Road and Townsend Boulevard occurred April 25.  A surveillance photo shows a robber using his shirt to hide his face and pointing a silver handgun at the clerk.  Investigators say he took off in a newer-model maroon or red vehicle.

The store was was hit again on Monday by someone with a black handgun wearing a bandana and dressed all in black.

Police have not said if the two robberies are related.
