Bank delivers grants totaling over $127K to area nonprofits

Bank of America hand delivers grant checks to local nonprofits

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – This Friday the 13th won't be a bad day for 13 local nonprofits.

On Nov. 13, Bank of America will hand-deliver grant checks totaling $127,750 to 13 Jacksonville-area nonprofits, making Friday the 13th a lucky day not just for them, but for the thousands of people who rely on their vital services.

The following nonprofits will personally receive grants from Bank of America executives: Hubbard House, Community Connections, United Way of Northeast Florida, Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless, Feeding Northeast Florida, Clara White Mission, Downtown Ecumenical Services Council, St. Vincent's Foundation, Daniel Memorial, 5 Star Veterans Center, Aging True (Urban Jacksonville Inc.), Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry, and Jewish Family & Community Services.

Basic human services grants will be disbursed to support nonprofits that provide essential services such as food, shelter and medical care to the disadvantaged, veterans, the elderly and victims of domestic abuse, among others.
