JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – "X Factor" contestant Rion Paige is Hollywood bound again, but this time she's getting a little extra hometown help.
The Jacksonville teen is getting one step closer to making her country music aspirations a reality with help from some of her biggest fans here on the First Coast.
Hundreds of people turned out to watch this pint-sized singer do what she does best, which is blow the crowd away with her powerhouse voice.
Everyone who came out had the same message for Paige, and that's Jacksonville is behind you every step of the way.
"The music will start and she always takes a step back and gets into the song," said George Aspinall, a family friend. "A lot of us just do the song. She lives the songs, so her emotion comes through and everybody's emotion comes through. You can't watch her and not cry."
"All of these families who we've met along the way with singing and it's awesome," said Paige's mom, Alisa Thompson. "It feels like a big hug. It's awesome."
Diagnosed with arthrogryposis in her arms and glaucoma in her right eye, it hasn't slowed Paige down, which is something families like the Johnson's -- who have two children with genetic disorders -- appreciate and admire.
"She is such an inspiration and she gives us strength and hope to get through everyday for our kids, and gives us hope for their future," said Sarah Johnson.
As Paige moves from the River City to the next round of bright lights of Hollywood, it's clear the talented teen will continue to hit a high note both on and off the stage.
"I really do think she's got a great shot. She's amazingly talented and as a mother, I don't think they've even scratched the surface," said Thompson. "I think she's got a lot more to give."
Paige and her family leave for California next week.
