Black Creek residents, businesses warned of potential flooding

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – Emergency management officials in Clay County are urging residents and businesses located along Black Creek to stay alert to the water levels in the wake of recent heavy rain amounts.

"While current projections do not indicate flooding, the possibility cannot be ruled out," a news release reads.

Officials said the creek is expected to continue rising until Wednesday afternoon but is not expected to reach "flood stage."

Residents are also urged to stay aware of any emergency notifications that may go out should conditions change.
