Brunswick detectives make 2 arrests for thefts

Police: Man, 25 uses credit card without victim's consent; Teen steals tobacco products

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – Detectives arrested a 25-year-old man on two counts of felony financial transaction card fraud and a 15-year-old teen on one count of burglary.

According to the Brunswick Police Department, Craigory Powell, 25, had taken Dr. Mitchell Brock's wallet was taken on May 28 from the Marsh Side Grill, located at 1200 Glynn Avenue.

Brock's credit card was subsequently used by Powell to make purchases without Brock's knowledge or consent, said police.

A 15-year-old Brunswick teen was also arrested for allegedly burglarizing the Ameri-Mart located at 1008 Bay Street on June 2. Police said he took tobacco products from the business.
