Deputies: Daughter says he assaulted her in a disagreement over tractor

CALLAHAN, Fla. – A pastor arrested after his daughter said he assaulted her because he didn't approve of the way she was operating a tractor, according to the Nassau County Sheriff's Office.

Elmer Holbrooks, 56, pastor of the Anchor Church of God in Callahan, was arrested Dec. 9. Deputies said he struck his daughter, who was driving a tractor on church property.

The police report says Holbrooks told the responding officer he hit her twice because he disagreed with the way she was driving the tractor and because she gave him a dirty look when he told her what she was doing wrong.

Holbrooks was booked into the county jail on a charge of domestic battery.
