Carjacked vehicle hits San Marco home

K9 team catches up with man who ran from scene

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Officers arrested a carjacking suspect who crashed into a San Marco home on Friday afternoon.

Police say the carjacking took place on Hogan Road, but the driver of the stolen car left the road at the intersection of Lorimier and Hendricks Avenue and struck a house.  He then took off on foot.

A Jacksonville Sheriff's Office K9 team managed to catch up with the suspect. 

His name and the charges against him were not released at the scene, but officers say he's a suspect in other recent violent crimes in the area.
