Chevron robbery sought in Columbia County

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies in Columbia County are trying to identify a man they said robbed a Chevron convenience store Wednesday night.

Police said the man went into the store in the 3800 block of North U.S. Highway 441 about 6:45 p.m. and demanded money from the clerk.

The man had a small, silver handgun.

After receiving an undetermined amount of money from the register, the robber fled the store. He was seen by witnesses entering the passenger side of a waiting car. The car fled the scene, traveling north on U.S. 441.

The robber is described as a white man in his late teens to early 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black and white plaid hoodie over a white T-shirt and saggy blue jeans, exposing his black underwear.
