"This memorial site will honor all the men who lost their lives in the line of duty in Clay County. But, I think it is especially noteworthy – considering that Detective White was killed by a criminal in the drug trade – that seized drug funds will be used in part to construct this memorial," said Sheriff Rick Beseler.

The Sheriff's office is collaborating with Klaybor & Associates architect and design firm and the Clay County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 104 on the project.
