VALDOSTA, Ga. - Authorities are planning an autopsy for a 17-year-old student found dead inside Lowndes High School in Valdosta.

The sheriff's office identifies the deceased student as Kendrick Johnson.

The Valdosta Daily Times reports Johnson's body was found in the school's old gymnasium after classes began on Friday.

Lowndes County Sheriff Chris Prine says investigators do no suspect foul play.

The autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

The building was place under lockdown Friday after the body was found, but Prine said students at the school are never in any danger.
