Deputies arrest December robbery suspect

PALM COAST, Fla. – A Palm Coast man who deputies said tried to rob a gas station on Palm Coast Parkway in December was arrested by Flagler County detectives Friday morning.

William Cory Hall, 35, was arrested following a traffic stop on Redmill Lane, shortly after detectives saw him driving away from his home. Detective Roger Spires initiated the stop after he watched Hall walk out of his house and get into his vehicle.

Hall was wanted in connection with a Dec. 20 robbery where deputies said he entered the Mobil Station at 220 Palm Coast Parkway just after 5 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk. Deputies said he entered the store with his shirt covering his lower face and his right hand under his shirt, according to the clerk.

He then demanded money and implied he had a gun, deputies said. They said at one point, the man threatened the woman by saying, "Don't make me use it."

The clerk refused to hand over any money and the would-be robbery suspect left the store empty-handed, deputies said.

Hall was booked into the Flagler County Detention Facility.
