Deputies said Harris fled on a scooter, which struck the victim's leg with the muffler. They said Harris told the woman he had a gun when he was fleeing the scene.

Deputies began searching for Harris and found his scooter hidden in a shed behind a home on the same road. They searched the storage shed and found Harris hiding.

Investigators said they were able to recover a .12 gauge shotgun and a 9 mm handgun from the area Harris was found hiding. Deputies said they also learned that the scooter driven by Harris had been reported stolen out of Alachua County.

Harris was arrested on multiple charges and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility without bail.
