Hay and his brother, Nathaniel Hay, were arrested in August after the Clay County Sheriff's Office pulled them over in a traffic stop, authorities said.

Deputies said they found nine firearms and ammunition inside the trunk of Hay's car. Investigators said the items were stolen from a home on Air Park Loop East in Clay County. The Hays broke into the same home five different times, deputies said.

Hay pleaded guilty to two counts of armed burglary, three counts of burglary of a dwelling, four counts of grand theft, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and driving while license is suspended or revoked, authorities said.

Hay has felony convictions for burglary and aggravated assault.

Last month, Nathaniel Hay pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 20 years in prison on two counts of armed burglary, grand theft, and alteration or removal of a firearm serial number, authorities said.
