JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 23-year-old man was shot and killed after a disturbance Monday afternoon at the Madison at Savannah Oaks Apartment Homes on the Westside.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Sgt. Dan Jansen said gunshots were heard after an altercation about 2 p.m. at the complex on Roosevelt Boulevard.
Police say Harold Woodard died en route to a hospital and whoever did the shooting was at large.
Homicide detectives were questioning witnesses, but said it was too early to know what the disturbance was about or a motive for the shooting.
This is the 11th murder in Jacksonville in December and the 89th of 2012.
