Troopers say the car was going north in the outside lane when it rear-ended the slower moving motorcycle. After the collision, both vehicles traveled onto the grass shoulder and into the woods line. Despite wearing her seat belt, the passenger of the Porsche was ejected when the car struck a large tree and caught fire. Troopers say Mathews could not escape the burning vehicle.

According to the report, the accident is still under investigation.
