Driver who struck tree last week dies

Witness told officers driver appeared to suffer medical emergency before crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 66-year-old woman hospitalized her car crashed into a tree last week has died, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Officers responded to the crash at West 11th Street and Myrtle Avenue North on the Northside about 2 p.m. Aug 15.

Police said Patricia Seabrooks was driving north when her car left Myrtle and struck a palm tree.  A witness told investigators she appeared to suffer a medical emergency prior to the crash.

The woman was taken to UF Health Jacksonville.  The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced that she died on Wednesday.
