KINGSLAND, Ga. - Kingsland police said Monday they arrested a 26-year-old Woodbine man last week in connection with cocaine sales in Kingsland.
Ronald Campbell was arrested Wednesday after investigators say they identified him as a direct supplier of cocaine to the Kingsland area and he became the focus of the investigation, according to police.
The investigation involved complex undercover purchases of illicit drug buys by the Special Operation Division and the joint agencies, police said. The investigation ultimately led to a traffic stop and search of the vehicle Campbell was driving, police said.
During the search of Campbell's car, investigators found about 2 grams of crack cocaine inside and about 25 grams of powder cocaine that had been thrown from the vehicle by Campbell during the traffic stop, police said.
Campbell was arrested on two felony counts of violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act and was taken to the Camden County jail.
Investigators with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations worked with the Kingsland Police Department in the operation.
