Family Dollar store robber sought

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are trying to identify and arrest a man who robbed a Family Dollar store on the Westside on Wednesday night.

Police said the man went into the store at 6351 Wilson Blvd. about 10 p.m., approached the front counter, displayed a pistol and demanded money.

He made the clerk put money from the register into a small plastic Family Dollar bag and left the business on foot in an eastbound direction on Wilson, police said.

The robber is described as a black man in his late 20s or early 30s, 6 feet 1 to 6 feet 2 inches tall, 190 pounds, with a medium build. He was wearing a black and red wig, all black clothing, black hat with a silver brim, and armed with a silver pistol.
