George Davis, 82, was found beaten to death inside his home in June.

Police don't have a suspect in the killing of 82-year-old George Davis. MAD DAD's is taking to the streets to encourage residents to "break the code of silence."

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The family of an elderly man who was killed in June said they don't want the public to forget their loved one's story.

According to investigators, George Davis, 82, was found beaten to death inside his home.

"We just want to keep community aware of what's going on," said Vincent Davis, George's son.

The family works with Men Against Destruction Defending Against Drugs and Social Disorder (MAD DADS) to find the man who killed Davis.

The nonprofit organization has gone door to door in the past to hand out fliers that read "Breaking The Code Of Silence."

"It's getting easier," said Vincent. "But we still need closure and want to put it to bed and keep pushing for someone to be charged with this crime."

The family said it wants to remind people to contact Crime Stoppers if they have information about who killed their Davis.

"This one is particularly close to our hearts that an 82-year-old senior was beat brutally the way Mr. Davis was and the community hasn't stepped up that someone hasn't turned him in," said Donald Foy with MAD DADS.
