Felon convicted of trying to kill 3 men

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Duval County jury found Rashane Leonard Jones, 28, guilty late Thursday on three counts of attempted murder in the second-degree and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

In June 2012, Jones approached three victims who were standing in front of a barber shop on A. Phillip Randolph Boulevard, pulled out his gun and shot at the men multiple times, then ran from the scene. All of the victims were struck, but later recovered of their injuries.

Jones now faces up to 115 years in prison. He will be sentenced the week of September 8.
