About 25 members of the 2153rd Financial Management Detachment arrived at Jacksonville International Airport Monday morning.

Some of the soldiers were greeted by their loved ones. Others had their families waiting for them at the National Guard armory in St. Augustine, where a welcome home ceremony was planned.

One soldier says her family has their own homecoming plans for her for the next week.

"We really just want to just get home, enjoy family. Really don't want to do anything, we just want to sit at home," Staff Sgt. Erica Hodges said. "But my family's got dinners and celebrations and parties and stuff for me to go to. But really I just want to just go home, just sleep and enjoy being in my own home."

The soldiers of the detachment handled payroll for other members of the military who were deployed in the region, as well as other financial tasks like making sure vendors and contracts were paid.
