Former JSO corrections officer arrested

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Francisco Rodriguez, a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office corrections officer until February,  was arrested Thursday on charges of conspiracy to introduce contraband into a correctional facility.

These charges stem from an investigation begun by the JSO Integrity Unit, which investigates possible criminal wrong doing by employees.

Rodriguez was probationary employee at the time the investigation began. He
was terminated for cause while still on probation for falsifying his residency on his employment application.

Police had no additional information on the investigation or charges.
