Former Nassau County deputy pleads guilty to child sex crime

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – A former Nassau County deputy pleaded guilty this week to two counts of sexual battery involving a minor.

An investigation in June revealed that Alan Manchester, 47, a former Nassau County Sheriff's Office school resource officer, had a sexual relationship with the victim, beginning when she was 15 years old, prosecutors said.

That victim, who is now 22, was impregnated by Manchester when she was 15 and 17 years old.

Manchester will be sentenced on May 8. He faces up to 30 years in prison.
