Foul play suspected in man's disappearance

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – Foul play is suspected in the disappearance of a Putnam County man who's been missing for more than two weeks, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said Jose "Anthony" Cortez, 35, was last seen by his family in the area of Sixth Way in Interlachen at about 10 a.m. Dec. 23. He hasn't been heard from since, and his family is concerned for his well-being.

Cortez was believed to be going to the area of Fifth Way in Interlachen. He has no known mental or physical handicaps.

Deputies said that at this point in their investigation, foul play is suspected.

Cortez is about 6 feet tall, 170 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

He has tattoos of a joker on his left arm; two female names, one on each arm; a dragon on his right shoulder; and various tattoos on his back and chest. He was last seen wearing black T-shirt, black pants and black and white shoes.
