Gas fire consumes boat at Julington Creek

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An explosion and fire Friday morning destroyed a boat docked at the Julington Creek marina.

The owner of the "Blue Runner" told Channel 4 gasoline caught fire while he was changing the fuel filer. He managed to get off safely, but the boat was consumed by flames, then sank.

The fire also damaged the dock where the boat was tied up.
