Glynn County police offer $10K reward for information in killing

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The Glynn County Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of whoever is responsible for the killing of a Jacksonville man last week.

Richard Hollis, 49, was shot and killed in the early morning hours of Sept. 10 when he exited Interstate 95 at exit 42. Police said he parked his 2009 Toyota Camry on the edge of Highway 99 with his emergency flashers on to change a flat tire.

Police said they're trying to identify anyone who was in the area between the hours of 4:30 and 6:45 a.m. who may have seen, came in contact with, stopped and offered help, or spoke with Hollis.

Investigators said they're seeking information about someone who was seen in the vicinity of Hollis' vehicle who drives a red or maroon, small to midsize sedan. Investigators said they're are also trying to identify the driver of a grey Ford pickup truck who may have stopped that morning and offered help, as well as the driver of a green pickup truck towing a trailer that was seen in the vicinity of Hollis' car.
