Governor appoints Baker County School Board member

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Gov. Rick Scott on Friday announced the appointment of Naomi Roberson to the Baker County School Board.

Roberson, 75, of Maccleny, is a retired educator. She was a teacher in the Baker County School District from 1966 through 1994 and a district program specialist from 1994 through 2001.

She is appointed to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Jesse Davis for a term ending November 18, 2014 -- after this year's General Election.

Roberson was previously appointed to the School Board from March 2004 to November 2004.

Roberson received her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and her master of education from the University of North Florida.
