FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A grand jury has declined to indict a retired Flagler Beach police officer who was named a person of interest in the 2012 shooting of his wife.
Robert MacDonald's wife, Kathy MacDonald, was found with a single gunshot wound to the head in July 2012, standing next to her husband's patrol car outside their house.

The shooting was initially investigated as a suicide attempt.
Kathy McDonald survived and is in a rehab facility.
