Bringman told police that she felt guilty about leaving the note. Officers arrested Bringman and said she gave investigators a full confession, and that she wanted "to blow up the town from the sinful people."

Detectives said Bringman did not bring any explosives onto the property. She was not a patient at the hospital. She was charged with making a bomb threat and booked on a $10,000 bond at the Columbia Detention Center.
