Husband sentenced to life in wife's murder

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 50-year-old Jacksonville man was sentenced Tuesday morning to life in prison for the 2006 murder of his wife.

A jury convicted Curtis Way last month on a charge of second-degree murder.

Way strangled his wife, Linda Way, to death, in their home on Flechette Avenue after the two argued about their finances.

Way held his wife down on the floor with his hands around her neck until she lost consciousness and died.

Way then went to a neighbor's home and called 911.

Way is a habitual felony offender with convictions for burglary, armed robbery, and felony worthless check.
