Information sought in 2013 Palm Coast killing

PALM COAST, Fla. – Flagler County detectives are seeking the public's help in solving the stabbing death of a 60-year-old man whose body was found last year in a marsh area behind the home he was staying in.

Dennie Cayton was living at 16 Covington Lane in Palm Coast when he was found dead Jan. 11, 2013. He was not married, and at the time of his death, he was unemployed.

Detectives believe someone in the community has information about Cayton's killing and are asking for the public's help in solving this case. No motive has been established at this time.

Cayton's death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy was performed by the Medical Examiner.

Identification of Cayton's decomposed remains was delayed several months as detectives awaited the results of an examination conducted by the Anthropology Section of the University of Florida for Osteological Examination.
