Jacksonville Beach bank robber sought

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – Police in Jacksonville Beach are looking for a man who robbed a bank Thursday morning.

Police said the man went into Atlantic Coast Bank in the 1700 block of Third Street South about 9:30 a.m., approached the teller, demanded money and then left.

The robber is described as a heavy-set white man, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and in his 30s or 40s. He was wearing a dark T-shirt, dark pants and a plain blue ball cap.

Police said the man may have been driving a dark Chevy Silverado pickup truck and was last seen traveling south on State Road A1A.
