Jacksonville corrections officer arrested

Officer on leave without pay, charged with grand theft, falsifying documents

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A corrections officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was arrested Friday on charges of grand theft and two counts of falsifying official documents by a public servant.

Ian Murray, who is on leave without pay, has been with JSO since December 2009 and was assigned to the Montgomery Correctional Center on Jacksonville's Northside.

According to a JSO news release, JSO's Integrity Unit investigated Murray and found he submitted military leave requests twice for dates when he did not have military duty. Murray is a sergeant with the Army Reserves.
