Jacksonville man, 23, found guilty of second degree murder

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A jury found 23-year-old Eric Eugene Fuller guilty of second degree murder on Friday in the shooting death of 24-year-old Carlton Derrick Hardaman.

Fuller faces life in prison.

In February 2013, officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office found Hardaman dead on the side of West 19th Street.

JSO's investigation revealed that Fuller and Hardaman, who were friends that had grown up together, were driving in a car when Fuller shot the victim in the head and dumped his body on the side of the road. Fuller then drove away from the area.

Fuller will be sentenced the week of Aug. 11.
