JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A person was robbed and shot Tuesday morning during a robbery near a restaurant on King Street, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
According to police, a man in his mid-20s was beaten by two or three people and shot during a robbery around 2 a.m. at Sassy’s Wings and More.
After the robbery, the man walked back to his home on Steele Street, officers said. The man’s roommate called police a few hours later.
The victim was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said they are questioning neighbors and reviewing surveillance video.
