The project is about four miles long. It will involve removal of existing asphalt, rebuilding the base and repaving. Additional work includes drainage improvements, replacement of portions of the existing water main, sidewalk repair, traffic signals, lighting, highway signs and guard rails.

Motorists should use caution when traveling through the construction site and anticipate nighttime lane closures, typically from 7 p.m. until 6. a.m., but times could fluctuate, officials said.

They said a traffic separator will be used adjacent to the travel way and sidewalk at Little Pottsburg Creek but should not impact traffic.
