David Williams, Kadejah's father, told News4Jax that his daughter leaves behind another son and daughter.

"Everyone could tell you that whenever Kadejah came around, she brought the happy with her. And that's what keeps me from breaking down, I think," David Williams said.

At the vigil, held in the St. Nicholas neighborhood Friday evening, loved ones lit candles and released balloons.

The MAD DADS community outreach organization will canvass the area near the Cleveland Arms apartments Saturday, asking the community for information in the case.

Police have not arrested the gunman, but they have named David Anderson as a person of interest.

Anderson has not been charged in connection with the shooting, but is charged with possession of a gun by a convicted felon.
