City Councilwoman Lori Boyer said the bulkhead is deteriorating and Hurricane Matthew made it unsafe to get close to the water's edge.

The mayor's office was expected to take up the issue on Monday. It will go to the City Council later.

There's no word on when the repairs would be done.
