Georgia woman killed in I-95 crash near airport

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Georgia woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 95 that slowed northbound traffic for hours, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said the crash happened just before 1 p.m. on I-95 at Pecan Park Road.

Troopers said a Jeep Liberty driven by Audrey Delrio, 55, of Reidsville, Georgia, lost control, hit a light pole and overturned several times.

Delrio was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic was diverted to Main Street until Northbound lanes of I-95 were finally reopened around 4:15.
