Home prices in Jacksonville on the rise

Prices above national average

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Homes in Jacksonville are gaining in value.  New data from Corelogic indicates home prices jumped 7.5 percent between December and January.  That’s higher than the national average of 6.9 percent. 

The trend is expected to continue.  Corelogic’s forecast indicates prices will jump another 4.8% in the coming year.

The company’s chief economist says that many markets nationwide have seen housing prices outpace inflation because inventory is low and there aren’t a lot of of rentals available.
